This nationally accredited course is designed for staff working in education, care, hospitality, and community settings where individuals may be at risk of anaphylaxis. It provides the skills and knowledge to recognise allergic reactions early, respond confidently to an anaphylaxis emergency, and implement effective prevention strategies in the workplace.

Delivered by experienced paramedics, this course goes beyond theory. You’ll learn to administer adrenaline using auto injectors like EpiPen®, follow ASCIA Action Plans, complete incident reporting, and develop Individual Anaphylaxis Management Plans tailored to your workplace.
Whether you’re the first responder or the person responsible for reducing risk, this course prepares you to take immediate and informed action—helping to save lives and create safer environments.

This nationally accredited course (22578VIC — Management of Anaphylaxis in the Workplace) is designed for individuals responsible for responding to or managing severe allergic reactions in community, education, and workplace settings.
Delivered by experienced paramedics, the course provides practical training in first aid management of anaphylaxis, as well as the development of workplace policies and risk minimisation strategies that support safer environments for those at risk.
Recognise triggers, symptoms, and signs of anaphylaxis and mild/moderate allergic reactions.
Follow standard procedures using ASCIA guidelines for effective management during emergencies.
Practice safe and effective use of EpiPen® and EpiPen® Jr devices in simulated scenarios.
Assess the environment, initiate appropriate emergency response, and complete documentation.
Tailor plans that identify known allergens, prevention strategies, and response protocols.
Identify high-risk situations and implement appropriate controls using a structured risk management approach.
Create and communicate plans that outline responsibilities, emergency procedures, and notification requirements.
